Programs don't make disciples; disciples make disciples. Peterson's experience with the Navigators has proven to him that regardless of where a person is in their walk with Christ, real relationships are crucial to bringing Christians to maturity. All disciples should multiply themselves by investing in other people. Lifestyle Discipleship explains well the difference between focusing on behavior and going beneath the values that cause behavior to the worldview (or beliefs) that cause values. He explains how to disciple in a way that helps people grow from the core of who they are outward instead of simply asking people to change what they do. It is a good book to read for anyone who is interested in living a lifestyle of making disciples.
